Too often the lives of those we love are abruptly interrupted and needlessly cut short because of cancer.  This was the case with my father, Harry W. Thomas; cancer claimed his life on February 10, 2006, at the young age of 52.  In honor of my father’s life I have put together a benefit that will provide knowledge and education about cancer to the community.  This benefit will assist us in raising funds, which will support Dunbar Associations Cook Off for the Cure Cancer Screenings.  The intention is that while bringing awareness to the seriousness of losing a family member to cancer.  While highlighting effect it has on families and the community.  The Jam Session will also provide an outlet for spoken word and local fashion artist.
