What's Your Favorite State Fair Food?
Wednesday 08-20-2008 5:16am ET
The first day of the fair is tomorrow.  To me, the best part is the food.  Sausage Sandwiches, Pizza Fritte, Prime Rib Sandwiches, Potatoes O'Reilly... I love it all.  Although some people say you shouldn't eat the sausage sandwiches till they've been cooking a few days.  What's your favorite?

How to Become a Hypermiler.
Tuesday 07-22-2008 5:58am ET
Looking for ways to get the most mileage out of your car.  Then you may want to become a HYPERMILER.  Here are the ten ways you can get started on your way to Hypermiling.

Lighten Your Load - Remove all but the bare necessities from the trunk... golf clubs, toolkits, bottles and cans, etc...

Keep Your Tire Full - Underinflated tires can cost you up to 40 cents a gallon in wasted fuel.

Map Out the Shortest Routes - Also look for the least congested routes, as well.

Keep Your Car Aerodynamic - Reduce drag by taking off any luggage racks, or bike racks that are on your car.

Coast Into Stops - Try coasting for at least 10 seconds as you approach a stop and you'll increase your gas mileage by at least 2 miles per gallon over a tank full of gas.

Use Cruise Control - Erratic speeds can cause you to loose gas.

Don't Let Your Engine Idle -  If waiting for your kids to come out of school, turn the engine off.

Watch Your Mileage in Real Time - Some cars are equiped to show you what your current "miles per gallon" are depending on how you are driving.  If you have it, use it.

Don't Accelerate Hard - Jack rabbit starts waist more gas than any other bad driving habit.  Gradually accelerate and you'll save big time.
