Some found 4 brassieres from the Middle Ages in a debris-filled vault of an Austrian castle. What a find! since  bras were originally thought to have been invented after the corset a little over 100 years ago.
   Also found at Lemberg Castle in Tyrol was a linen undergarment that looks very much like a pair of panties. But experts say it was men's underwear (because women didn’t wear anything under their skirts back then). Underpants were considered a symbol of male dominance and power.
